- As the commander of the IRGC in Khuzestan, he is responsible for commanding the forces to use machine guns against protesters and other civilians in the city of Mahshahr. Under his command, 148 people were killed by the IRGC by heavy machine gun fire from armoured vehicles encircling fleeing protesters hiding in nearby marshes.

As Commander of the Khuzestan IRGC, Hassan Shahvarpour has been responsible for the detention and forced disappearance of Mojahed Koorkoor (Abbas Koorkoori).
Security forces killed several people including 9-year-old Kian Pirfalak during the protests in Izeh on 16 November 2022. Mojahed Koorkoor was arrested in a joint operation by the IRGC, and intelligence and police forces on 20 December 2022.
Based on the confessions extracted from him while subjected to enforced disappearance, Mojahed Koorkoor was accused of shooting and killing protesters.
He is sentenced to death on charges of Moharebeh (waging war against God) and Fesad-fel-Arz (corruption on earth) following proceedings falling short of human rights and fair trial standards.

As Commander of the Vali’asr IRGC regional corps in Khuzestan Province, Hassan Shahvarpour is responsible for the killing of 9-year-old Kian Pirfalak and the violation of protesters’ Right to Life by shooting at them with heavy weapons.
During the protests in Izeh on 16 November 2022, forces under the command of Ahmad Shahvarpour shot the Pirfalaks’ car with heavy weapons. Consequently, 9-year-old Kian Pirfalak was killed and his father, Meysam Pirfalak, was seriously wounded. The protests of 16 November 2022 in Izeh broke out around 5 p.m. at Helal Ahmar crossroad and then spread to other parts of the city. Security forces shot the Pirfalaks’ automobile with heavy weapons in front of the Red Crescent Society of Izeh.
