Abbas Ali Mohammadian

As the police commander of Alborz province, he was responsible for ordering the violent suppression and mass arrest of protesters during the protests of December 2017- January 2018 in Alborz province, which resulted in the death of at least one protester and the wounding of dozens of others.

 Abbas Ali Mohammadian, as the police commander of Greater Tehran, is responsible for the arbitrary detention of actor Mohammad Sadeghi.

On July 16, 2023, forces under the command of Abbas Ali Mohammadian attacked Mohammad Sadeghi's house and arrested him after breaking into his house.

  On the same day, live on Instagram, Mohammad Sadeghi had criticized the violent treatment of women by the morality police officers. His arrest occurred a result of his criticism of the Morality Police and his solidarity with of LGBTQ+.
