- Description
As the head of the IRIB, he is responsible for producing and broadcasting televised programmes containing forced confessions and stolen private data obtained under torture or coercion and defamatory content against political prisoners including journalists, civil and human rights activists, and political dissidents.
These forced confessions were obtained under severe physical and mental torture and were used as evidence to sentence the confessors to harsh sentences including death penalty. In numerous cases, the IRIB employees were directly involved in obtaining these forced confessions.
