In an interview with Tasnim News Agency in 2014, Aziz Haj Mohammadi (Noorullah Aziz Mohammadi) confessed to issuing and executing an inhumane sentence of stoning to death for a female prisoner. Haj Mohammadi says: "Eventually [this case] led to the execution of two people and the stoning of a woman, I will never forget this case. The stoning of that woman was the last stoning that took place…”

Aziz Haj Mohammadi (Noorullah Aziz Mohammadi), as a judge of Branch 71 of the Tehran Criminal Court, is responsible for issuing death sentences to minors. On 10 October, 2011, the European Union placed 29 Iranian officials on the human rights sanctions list, including Aziz Haj Mohammadi, for their role in widespread and gross violations of the rights of Iranian citizens. According to this decision, Haj Mohammadi will be barred from entering the countries of this union and all his assets in Europe will be confiscated. According to the EU statement, Aziz Haj Mohammadi, as a judge in the Evin-based court and a judge in Branch 71 of the Tehran Criminal Court, was involved in the unfair trial of protesters in the 2009 elections. He was particularly responsible in the trial of Abdolreza Ghanbari, a teacher arrested for political activity and sentenced to death.
