      Description

      On Sunday, December 13, 2018, Branch 103 of the Torbat-e Heydariyeh Criminal Court, presided over by Hossein Yazdanpanah issued a collective sentence for 60 citizens of the Yamani religious minority, including a minor. According to the verdicts, 58 of these detainees were sentenced to a total of 82 years in prison, 4,218 lashes, 13 years in exile and fines.

      Following the arrest of two members of the "Ansar Imam Mahdi" sect known as the Yemeni religious group in the city of Torbat-e Heydarieh on August 19, 2016, dozens of supporters of this school of thought gathered peacefully in front of the Revolutionary Court of Torbat-e Heydarieh and demanded their release. Dozens of protesters were arrested and attendees were severely beaten by security forces.

      According to the ruling by Judge Yazdanpanah, fifteen detainees named Fahimeh Vaghari, Zahra Vaghari, Hojjat Azarkaman, Hossein Norouzi, Hossein Darat, Hossein Abdullahzadeh, Ali Mohammadzadeh, Amin Azarbahram, Rasoul Darat, Mojtaba Ismailzadeh, Hojjat Abdullahzadeh, Kazem Afshar Torbati, Hossein Hindabadi, Mehdi Azarkaman and Mohammad Raigan were each sentenced to two years in prison and 74 lashes.

      Among these people, "Hojjat Azarkaman, Hossein Norouzi, Hossein Darat, Hossein Abdullahzadeh, Ali Mohammadzadeh, Amin Azarbahram were each sentenced to 1 year in exile in the city of Khash and Rasoul Darat, Mojtaba Ismailzadeh, Hojjat Abdullahzadeh, Kazem Afshar Torbati, Hossein Hindabadi, Mehdi Azarkman, Mohammad Raygan ”were each sentenced to 1 year in exile in Nikshahr.

       

      Forty-two detainees named Maryam Etezadi, Azam Alizadeh, Fatemeh Eidi, Fatemeh Abdullahzadeh, Najmeh Norouzi, Marzieh Salar Ghorbani, Effat Ghaderi, Bibi Sadat Abdullahzadeh, Mohammad Babaei, Mohammad Reza Haghdadi, Saeed Tartizi, Mohammad Bagherian, Hossein Bagherzadeh , Seyyed Mahmoud Arabi, Rasoul Bagherian, Jalal Vaghari, Alireza Raygan, Mehdi Lotfi, Abolfazl Azarkman, Ebrahim Ghorbani, Mostafa Bagherian, Hassan Azarbahram, Ghorban Ali Bagherian, Abolfazl Attar, Abbas Herati, Ismail Ismailzadeh, Javad Lotfi, Zahra Zakdam , Mahla Bagherian, Maryam Sheibani, Fatemeh Yousefi Qandashti, Sakineh Ghadiri, Samira Habibi, Maryam Jedi Baigi, Alireza Bagherian, Ebrahim Esmailzadeh, Reza Shah Norouzi, Qasem Yousefzadeh Shahnabadi, Ensieh Zioudi, Razieh Salar Ghorbani, Hossein (Nasrollah) Mahdavi each was sentenced to seven and a half months in prison for "rebellion against government officials" and seven and a half months in prison and 74 lashes for "disturbing the public order."
