- Description
Mousavi, as the Judge of Branch One of the Revolutionary Court of Zahedan, is responsible for issuing the death sentence for Mehraban Brahui, contrary to the rules of due process and without considering the principles of a fair trial.
Mehraban Brahui was 60 years old at the time of his execution and was a taxi driver. Brahui was arrested in 2017 for finding drugs that one of the passengers had hidden in his car. Brahui had declared that the drugs did not belong to him, and despite the fact that he had no criminal record, Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court of Zahedan, presided over by Judge Mousavi, issued a death sentence.
Mohsen Afzali, Brahui’s lawyer, had asked his family to take action against the interim sentence in accordance with Article 477 of the Criminal Code of Procedure until the case is assigned to the Supreme Court. On Thursday, January 25, the Brahui family went to court to carry out the legal process for halting the sentence, but during the proceedings, they found out that Mehraban Brahui had been executed a few days earlier.

- Description
Reza Javad Mousavi, as the judge at the Branch One of the Revolutionary Court of Zahedan, is responsible for issuing the death sentence for Javid Dehghan Khold, without considering the principles of a fair trial and with complete disregard for the defendant's statements that he was forced to make a false confession under torture.
Javid Dehghan Khold was arrested on June 6, 2015 by intelligence agents in Iranshahr on charges of involvement in the assassination of two members of the Revolutionary Guards. He was detained for three months with no government agency providing his family with information about his whereabouts. For a year, Javid Dehghan was severely tortured in IRGC Intelligence, Ministry of Intelligence, and Homicide detention centres to obtain false confessions.
In May 2017, the First Branch of the Revolutionary Court of Zahedan, presided over by Mousavi, sentenced Javid Dehghan to death on charges of Moharebeh (armed struggle). Branch 41 of the Supreme Court upheld the death sentence without reviewing the case. Ali Razini, the head of Branch 41 of the Supreme Court, claimed that the Supreme Court had not received the prisoner's defence motion. Javid Dehghan Khold was executed on January 29, 2021

- Description
As the judge at Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court of Zahedan, Seyed Reza Javad Mousavi is responsible for issuing 15 prison sentences for Abdolhamid Mirblouch Zehi, Mahmoud Kalkoli, Omid Imani, and Alireza Bampouri on charges of membership in opposition groups to the Islamic Republic. During their detention, the defendants were severely tortured by the IRGC and the Ministry of Intelligence in order to obtain false confessions. At various stages of the trial, they were denied access to a lawyer, and their statements about being forced to make a false confession under torture were disregarded by Judge Mousavi.
Following the verdict, the Zahedan prosecutor objected to the 15-year prison sentence for Abdul Hamid Mirblouch Zehi, which was overturned in the Supreme Court and sent to the equivalent branch for reconsideration. Mirblouch was sentenced to death in Branch Two of the Revolutionary Court of Zahedan and was executed on December 27, 2020.
