As the head of the Mostazafan Foundation (Bonyad), Mohammad Saeedi Kia is responsible for confiscating and selling the property of Iranian citizens, especially religious minorities and political dissidents. According to research by the Justice for Iran, at least 5,000 properties were auctioned off during his tenure through 6,000 advertisements. Among these properties, the property of Nayreh Gandum Pakkon, a Baha'i citizen, has been advertised for sale through auctions from September 2017 to July 2016. Also, many properties of the Aluminium building belonging to the family of Habib Elghanian, an Iranian businessman who was executed on May 10, 1979, were put up for sale during Saeedi Kia's tenure.
