Mohammad Shariatmadari, as the head of the Executive Headquarters of Imam Khomeini's Order (EIKO), has played a key role in confiscating and selling the property of Iranian citizens, especially ethnic minorities and political opponents. During Shariatmadari's tenure, from 1994 to 1997, the EIKO held a total of three national auctions and 1153 confiscated properties were auctioned off for sale.
