Seyed Qassem Mousavi

Seyyed Qassem Mousavi, as the police commander of the Dash-e-Azadegan, was responsible for the violent suppression of peaceful protests in Susangerd (Khafajiayah). Mousavi-led forces used brutal violence, including tear gas, pepper spray, heavy beatings, and in particular direct shooting at protesters with deadly weapons, to suppress peaceful protests in Susangard (Khafajiayah), which led to a large number of protesters and passers-by being severely injured.

Peaceful protests against the water cut in Khuzestan province, which began on July 15, 2021 in various cities of the province, were brutally suppressed by security forces. According to several news sources, as of July 21, at least 9 protesters including 17-year-old Qassem Khaziri and 30-year-old Mustafa Naimawi, 17-year-old Hadi Bahmani, 20-year-old Mohammad Koroushat and 16-year-old Mohammad Abdollahi had been killed by direct shooting from security forces.
