Britain sanctioned Seyed Sadegh Hosseini on November 14, 2022, due to the violent suppression of protesters during the 2022 revolutionary uprising. Under these sanctions, all assets belonging to Sadegh Hosseini will be frozen, and individuals and companies will be prohibited from engaging in any transactions with him. Additionally, he will be denied the right to travel to UK.  

On November 14, 2022, the European Union sanctioned Seyed Sadegh Hosseini due to severe and serious human rights violations in the violent suppression of protesters during the  revolutionary uprising of 2021-2022. According to the statement, any of Seyed Sadegh Hosseini's assets will be frozen, and he will be barred from entering the European Union.

On December 21, 2022, the United States Treasury Department sanctioned Seyed Sadegh Hosseini due to severe and serious human rights violations in the violent suppression of protesters during the revolutionary uprising of 2022. According to the statement, all assets and interests in property of this individual that are in the United States or under the control of U.S. persons are to be frozen, and all transactions by U.S. persons or within the United States involving this individual are prohibited.
