He was a member of a committee known as the "Death Commission", responsible for deciding whether to execute prisoners or keep them alive in short trials based on prisoners' political and religious beliefs. He was directly appointed by the leader of the Islamic Republic to issue a death sentence for any political prisoner who insists on their beliefs. The commission is responsible for the execution of at least 750 political prisoners in Tehran.

As a judge of the Article 49 Special Courts, and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Executive Headquarters of Imam's order, he has been involved in confiscating the property of religious minorities. This included the confiscation of properties of Baha’i citizen, Shoaia Mir Aftab, because of her religious beliefs.
