Fariborz Rashedi placed ambulances at the disposal of the security forces. In doing so, he assisted in the suppression of the 2022-2023 protests by facilitating the transport of security forces and helping them infiltrate demonstrations, arbitrarily arrest the protesters and transfer them by ambulance.

The 2022 nationwide protests in Iran broke out following the murder of Mahsa Amini in the custody of the Islamic Republic’s Morality Police on 13th of September. The protests continued in various forms in different cities for over three months. According to reports by human rights organizations, at least 469, including 63 children and 32 women, have been killed by the law enforcement and security forces of the Islamic Republic.
