As the former CEO of Ariantel mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), Akbar Qahri is responsible for cooperation with the Ministry of Communications to set up a surveillance system over Araintel subscribers.
The Ministry of Communications of the Islamic Republic of Iran is launching an artificial intelligence system called SIAM. Once fully operational, the system will be able to have access to all personal information, calls, text messages, locations, and other information of mobile phone subscribers and stop or control their internet use.
