- Moradi is responsible for for the persecution and arrests of shop owners who closed their businesses and were planning on striking in protest of the death of Jina Mahsa Amini. Many business owners across Iran closed their businesses and shops in protest after her death and joined nationwide strikes. In Tehran, shop owners in various areas went on strike on various days; 3rd of December 2022 in Amin Hozour Bazaar, 15th of December in Alaodin Mall and Nezamabad, 17th of January 2023 in Manuchehri Street. Many of them were arrested and their cases were opened with the judiciary. Jina Mahsa Amini was announced dead on 17th of September 2022 while in he custody of the Morality Police. Her death sparked nationwide protests that continue in various pockets in Iran, today.
