The representative of the Arak prosecutor threatened Mehrshad's father not to invite people to the gravesite of his son. He told Mehrshad's father, "So far, we have not destroyed the grave of your son, who was against the revolution. If you continue to gather people in the cemetery, we will leave no trace of his grave."
Mahsa (Jina) Amini was killed on 16 September 2022 while being in custody of the Morality Police of the Islamic Republic. In protest of her death, a nationwide uprising broke out in Iran which is still ongoing in various forms in different cities.
According to the reports of human rights organizations, the police and security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran have killed at least 469 citizens, including 63 children and 32 women, during the revolutionary uprising of the Iranian people.- Sources
