Britain sanctioned Morteza Mir Aghaei on November 14, 2022, due to the violent suppression of protesters during the 2022 revolutionary uprising. Additionally, he will be denied the right to travel to UK. On November 14, 2022, the European Union sanctioned Morteza Mir Aghaei due to severe and serious human rights violations in the violent suppression of protesters during the  revolutionary uprising of 2021-2022. According to the statement, any of Morteza Mir Aghaei's assets will be frozen, and he will be barred from entering the European Union. Furthermore, on December 27, 2022, Canada imposed sanctions on Morteza Mir Aghaei for gross and systematic violations of human rights against protesters during the 2022 protests. According to this statement, all potential assets of Mir Aghaei in Canada will be frozen, and he will be barred from entering the country.
