The European Union and Britain sanctioned Morteza MirAghaie on November 14, 2022, due to the violent suppression of protesters during the 2022 revolutionary uprising. Under these sanctions, all assets belonging to MirAghaie will be frozen, and individuals and companies will be prohibited from engaging in any transactions with him. Additionally, he will be denied the right to travel to European Union member countries.   Furthermore, on December 27, 2022, Canada imposed sanctions on Morteza MirAghaie for gross and systematic violations of human rights against protesters during the 2022 protests. According to this statement, all potential assets of MirAghaie in Canada will be frozen, and he will be barred from entering the country.
