Mahmoud Ahmadinejad As head of the government and head of the Supreme National Security Council is responsible for authorising the use of lethal force against peaceful protesters, killing, mass arresting and torture of protesters by the agents of the Ministry of Intelligence and police forces under the command of the Ministry of Interior during the the 2009 post-election protests.
Following the announcement of the results of the tenth Iranian presidential election and the victory of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, widespread protests were held in Iranian cities. The protests were brutally suppressed by the police, the IRGC and Basij, and agents if the Ministry of Intelligence killing at least 70 people, injuring thousands and widespread arrests.Also, several detainees were killed due to torture in the detention centers. Many of the detainees were taken to a place called Kahrizak. This detention center is known for its inhumane behavior, torture and the death of several detained protestors.
Three protestors named Mohsen Rohul Amini, Mohammad Kamrani and Amir Javadifar were killed due to torture in this detention center. And one of the protestors named Ramin Aghazadeh Ghahremani was killed two days after his release from Kahrizak due to a blood clot in his chest. A protester named Ahmed Nejati Kargar was killed a few days after his release due to the failure of both kidneys.

- Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, as the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the head of the National Security Council, is responsible for suppressing the demonstrations of June 12, 2006 Protesters who had gathered to protest discriminatory laws, and also for arresting the activists of the One Million Signatures campaign.
