      Description
      Ali Sabbagh Valashani, in his role as the Investigating judge at branch 13  of General and Revolutionary Court of Isfahan, is responsible for the torture, pressure, and mistreatment of detainees with the aim of extracting forced confessions and violating their rights. Twelve citizens were arrested following a raid by security forces on their homes in Isfahan on July 11, 2023, and since then, their cases have remained in the preliminary investigation stage. The detainees are Maryam Parandeh, Bahar Soleimani, Mina Nadai, Rozbeh Dana, Marjan Beshtam, Hoda Sadeghi, Sama Amoushahi, Mehshad Keshani, Mohammad Reza Qutbizadeh, Erfan Mirkazemi, Amir Salari, and Shamim (last name unknown). According to the notifications from  branch 13  of General and Revolutionary Court of Isfahan to these individuals, charges such as “propaganda against the regime,” “participation and collusion” in actions against national security are mentioned. Additionally, some individuals have also been charged with “leadership” and “insulting the leader.”
