- Mostafa Karbasi, as an Investigating judge at the branch 101 of the Criminal Court no.2 in Mobarakeh, is Responsible for torturing with the purpose of obtaining false forced confessions and violating the rights of the detainee Mahmoud Mehrabi. Mahmoud Mehrabi, a resident of Mobarakeh, has been detained by the IRGCs' intelligence since February 1, 2023. On May 5, 2024, Branch 5 of the Isfahan Revolutionary Court sentenced him to death on charges of "corruption on earth." Mostafa Karbasi has threatened Mahmoud Mehrabi with execution several times. According to a report by IranWire, during the final hearing at the prosecutor's office, after announcing new charges, Mostafa Karbasi, upon seeing Mahmoud smile in response, said to him, "I will see your smile at the gallows!" Moreover, Mostafa Karbasi threatened one of Mahmoud Mehrabi's sisters with death for following up on her brother's case. She was also detained for several days and is currently out on bail.
