- Rostami is responsible for issuing indictment order for women who did not observe the mandatory hijab in the context of the “Woman, Life, Freedom” protests. He accused a number of women with the following charge: Being present in public places without the Islamic hijab. On this basis, he asked the prosecutor to issue indictments against them. he 2022-2023 protests began following the killing of Mahsa (Jina) Amini on September 13, 2022, while in the custody of the Islamic Republic's Moral Security Police. Amidst the protests and afterwards, women have resisted the mandatory hijab in various ways and have suffered widespread repression, including denial of public services, education, arrest, court cases, fines, and imprisonment.

- Rostami is responsible for issuing indictment order for women protesters. In one case, he accused a woman protester of: Propaganda against the Islamic regime (Mahsa). This accusation was made on the basis of participation in protest gatherings and Rostami subsequently requested the prosecutor to issue an indictment against her. The 2022-23 protests began following the death of Mahsa (Gina) Amini on September 13, 2022, in the detention of the morality police of the Islamic Republic. These protests quickly spread across the country and are remembered as the largest revolutionary uprising against the government since the establishment of the Islamic Republic. The Iranian government responded to these protests with deadly violence. According to human rights organizations, the security forces of the Islamic Republic have killed at least 551 people, with a minimum of 68 of them being children.
