- Hadi Mohammadi, the Deputy Director of Evin Prison and in charge of the prison outside working hours, has personally been involved in multiple incidents of beating both male and female political prisoners. In September 2023, Narges Mohammadi, Nobel Peace Prize winner and political prisoner, was beaten and insulted for not adhering to the compulsory hijab in the presence of prison officials, including Hadi Mohammadi. Mohammad Moghimi, a judicial lawyer, wrote on his X account on February 22, 2024, that Narges Mansouri, a detained political activist, was threatened with death twice in prison by the deputy officer, Hadi Mohammadi. On August 6, 2024, following the assault by the security guards of Ovin Prison on female political prisoners protesting the execution of Reza Resaei, at least 17 political prisoners were injured or died. Hadi Mohammadi was the main perpetrator and commander of the beatings. Mohammadi attacked the female prisoners with kicks and punches and ordered that all protesting prisoners be beaten. During the attack, he used obscene language when addressing them.
